Why the name Sightpath?

As you might expect it took some time to come up with a suitable name for our Business Planning service. The name Sightpath was finally chosen after lengthy discussions with our branding guru, Jonathan Hughes of Wordzup.

He explained that a new brand name should ideally achieve 3 key elements:

  1. It should at least hint at what you do
  2. It should seem familiar
  3. It must be available, both as a business name and as an Internet address

We help businesses to see the way ahead and plan how to get there, so sight and path when put together hint at what we do. Sightpath also seems familiar because it emulates ‘Flight path’.
